We really needed that awoo. I love giving out a ridiculous bullet hell of likes. ❤️

Mostly organic material and a series of vibrations registering as sound. Abides in the liminal space between the Twin Cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, where nothing is quite real and anything is possible. Drums, mandolin. Rarely at the same time.
Today's WOOOOOOO brought to you by the note C#, 277hz to be even more specific (at least that's what it is at linden hills park)
Memento > The Shining Following > Eyes Wide Shut I mean, what are we even doing here?
Listen, strokes/folks etc, but "Batman Begins > Barry Lyndon" should trigger a wellness check
Roddy McDowall chilling on the set of PLANET OF THE APES (1968)
FSU really dropped the ball(s) on "Seminole Fluid"
Okay this is a rare PR announcement that I'm suddenly very interested in. UTRGV has their own new gatorade like this...which other schools used to do? I want to know everything about the Rutgers knockoff Gatorade
Due to popular request... the oscilloscope can produce mind-boggling effects 2.0 (Kiwi edition)
Please please please.. we need the Kiwi
This year, Zendaya’s in 3 movies that’ll make over $1 billion at the box office.
The Microwave Cooking for One site is legit useful. You know that thing that happens when microwave food is half frozen? That’s not inherent to the microwave, it’s because most box microwave instructions are for 1100 watts and your microwave is something else. There’s a conversion chart for that!
Microwave Timing Conversion Charts
These charts help you convert cooking times in a recipe to times for your wattage microwave oven.

I do find it awfully fucking convenient that the Strib is finally ready to acknowledge that cops lie and game systems to punish political opponents.
When I was a kid I had a black monk’s habit for some reason. Halloween, of course, but like … this was heavy-duty costuming. Anyway, one of my favorite things to do at Halloween was to wear it with the hood up and silently walk around my neighborhood. Not trick-or-treating. Just walking.

Watching this yet again (5yo has a sore throat, which we are medicating with a movie morning), and yet again wanting a giant animal-robot battle at sea.
I hope they make films of all three Wild Robot books, so all those folks who thought the first film was cute can experience the Pelennor Fields-esque battle in the third. I want this almost as much as I want people to have to experience films of the later Dune books.
Politics is fun because it's like THE FORCES OF SOCIETY and TEST OF THE ZEITGEIST and then it's a one percent margin that could have broken differently if the role of Haley Stevens was played by someone not cast for "weird and off-putting intensity" who raves about Israel coming to her in her dreams
Convinced Kaoly Her is going ahead with this encampment sweep this morning despite almost everyone in the know telling her to delay because she thinks she’d otherwise appear politically weak. It’s awful of the mayor to put vulnerable people at greater risk just to try and save her political career.
Kat Donnelly, a nurse with Healthcare for the Homeless, spent Tuesday scrambling to refill medications and make sure patients knew where to find her ahead of the Pig's Eye Park encampment closure Wednesday morning.
thinking back fondly to that time in 2012, 16 years into florida's charter school experiment, after almost 500 charter schools had already failed, when the republican legislature simply made it illegal to examine what happened to someone's last charter when they applied for a new one
4 Hillsborough charter schools close amid financial, enrollment challenges
This is 💯 not true. It is never a choice between ‘taking big tech’s money and doing nothing’. A stronger moral imperative is NOT to take the money and the strings attached to it - particularly if you do not and cannot yet understand the implications
“Teaching educators about AI is a ‘moral imperative’, said Randi Weingarten, the AFT president.” “And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking big tech’s money or doing nothing, she said.”
There are some very neat tech things these days. If I were a kid, I think I’d use one of these to print out different Jack Skellington-esque heads and use a frame-by-frame app to make my own stop motion film.
We got our printer for $800 at Best Buy. The PLA filaments are $15-$30 each. Considering how expensive toys are, this is a great option to inflation proof your kids toys. That little toy I made while in bed last night probably would be $20 at target.
One of my best friends is from Kalamazoo and always points to her hand when she tells people where she’s from. I saw this stranger at a bar in Texas and asked her if she was from Kalamazoo. She was like yes, how did you know that? I said I saw her tattoo.
I just learned that there is a recording of Leonard Nimoy reading Ray Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rain" on the Internet Archive. 15 minutes of wonder. archive.org/details/brad...

if i was gonna teach a man two fish, I'd probably pick shark and anglerfish.
