My heart hurts too much to even say something ironic about this. What if we just fucking start fighting for every single precious human life before they’re under attack. What if we treat now like it matters as much as it does.

The bane of anyone with a disability, "Why don't you just-" is the whole mindset. You must assume: A) Problems have solutions B) These solutions are easy to implement C) These solutions will not create their own problems D) Reality will cooperate E) Nobody until you has thought of these solutions

One of my hardest-won political lessons is that it’s never, ever worth it to treat ppl as ~indispensable no matter what they do~ —bc we *see* the contributions & potential of the abusive men & we don’t get to see that in the women they drive out. We never actually get to know what we’ve squandered

Son can be a phenomenal player but he has always worked best in a partnership and the coach seems insistent on playing him solo. No, *you* are screaming at the Korea-South Africa match alone in your house.

GREG DAVIES: seems like a kind of a shit task. Everyone just seems like they're going home normally. ALEX HORNE: well before you say that let's have a look at how Odysseus did. cut to panel of AJAX, MENELAUS, AGAMEMNON, and DIOMEDES who are all staring at ODYSSEUS with his head in his hands
