I hear from so many folks about how much AI they are being "encouraged" to use in the workplace and I fucking despair. I don't use that shit to do my research, I don't ask it questions about how to deal with interpersonal questions, and I don't "vibe" any task. It's not actually hard to NOT DO.

Watching a summer climate we've never had before. These days: sth sth monsoon edition The humidity is at 68-73% nearly all the time, it's hot and I just "cooled" down my room to 25°C at 7am. It's hard to breathe this air and I wonder whether I'll develop gills. And suddenly water fell from the sky

Morning light through an open window that looks into a 100yo backyard and onto a chestnut tree. A fan sits on the will, everything is touched by gold

'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn landscape from above. It shows a forest on the right, a line of fire and charred ground with smoke on the left. The smoke is felted wool.

IF YOU ARE IN AN ACTIVIST SIGNAL CHAT please check if there’s someone named “AJ” with a trans flag in bio OR someone named “Teddy” with a pink Signal name attempting to access, joining, or already in your chats. That’s a fascist infiltrator. Reset your group link after you boot em!

To my trans, inter and enby people here: I started an art group on signal, for cheering each other on and trying new things and showing off our various art, fiber and otherwise, where the AI crawlers don't look. If you want in, DM me and I'll send you the link.

“I don’t comprehend the internal inconsistencies which seem to have been so forcibly impressed upon your mind” is such a gentle yet steely way to say “ok so yeah you’re full of shit”

I wonder, Doctor, if I could ask you the
question and Counsel could forebear, and we'll grant they have a continuing objection. Do you not agree with me there is some internal inconsistency in interpreting the
Treaty of 1836 to include a
reservation or reservations
for five years or perhaps
somewhat longer for those areas
that are most important to the Indians, to include for at least those Indians living south of the Straits of
Mackinac an obvious intention that those Indians will be
removed from Michigan, with an interpretation of Article 13 which reserves to those Indians a perpetual right to
fish in the Great Lakes in those areas which were not as
of as great importance to the Indians as those that were

reserved for a lesser period of time? Do you find any inconsistency there?
A. I find that question so convoluted and loaded that I couldn't answer it unless it was written out phrase by
phrase. I don't -- I've read this Ireaty, I don't find any . . . I don't comprehend the intemal inconsistencies which seem to have been so
• forcibly impressed upon your
mind

Defying the heat by knitting a deep winter cowl 😁 Yarn: Malabrigo Worsted in Whales Road, Cactus Flower and Sauterne from stash Handspun thick and thin plied with 1-2 lace to fingering yarns, plus several experiments in turquoise (sw merino plied with cotton, carded+spun yarn leftovers..) #knitsky

Half a knit cowl in dark blue with very bright stripes in handspun yarn in turquoise, pink, pumpkin, green, and yellowSame cowl, but with the skein of a three ply thick and thin handspun used as one of the contrasting colors. It ranges from pink and cream to pumpkin, with a bit of turquoise

Sunday is for playing with yarn instead of working with it ^^ I'm trying to figure out ways to have work and not work a bit more separate now after that knitting slump. Deciding to knit sth utterly ridiculous with exp handspun feels good. Like a deep winter cowl in early August :D #knitsky #tdf

Four balls of yarn in yellow, pink, turquoise and dark blue purple and several untwisted hand spun skeins in turquoise and pink, orange, teal

I have been thinking about the difference in charity and gift giving lately. Somehow i've kind of grown to not really like the word charity. Obviously it carries with it a lot of baggage and not all of it is good. It often implies a kind of hierarchy of the ones who give and the ones in need.
