I surveyed one millennial trans woman who came seven times last night and got two more off this morning, and it turns out everything kept functioning just fine! "semen retention", "porn-induced dysfunction", and "clitoral desensitization" are myths — kill the moralizing fascist in your head <3

First reason? Gym bros and influencers are increasingly touting the benefits of “semen retention,” and there are repeated claims of “porn-induced erectile dysfunction” and clitoral desensitization from excessive vibrator usage. Despite its lack of scientific support—this is breaking through.

Elected leaders opposed to adequate funding for parks make it clear that they: 1) Don't go to parks in nonaffluent areas and see the disinvestment 2) Don't talk to the parents and residents who rely on parks programming 3) Don't understand that money can be saved by spending a small amount first

the reason people shoplift food is usually because they do not have access to fresh, healthy food. putting cops there does the opposite of this, instead of playing cops overtime and security gear, you could just give people food 101 level stuff, you sure you're fit for mayor?

Every person deserves fresh, healthy food. That's why I'm proud to announce $1.7 million in security improvements and technical assistance for local grocery stores across our city.

Waymo/CAV is kind of a funny topic from afar. On the one hand, the public has shockingly little understanding of the actual tech realities. On the other hand, there's broad excitement about the idea of them. Which is really just excitement about transit, minus the sharing of space or efficiency.

Drivers when they have to pay to park at the hospital (usually with exemptions for long admissions, disabled parking, etc.) vs Drivers when people who don't or can't drive have to pay as much or more for a bus that goes near but not to the hospital or have to pay several times more for a taxi

I've been pretty happy with how well cycling in Minneapolis as someone who's never been here before has been going. I don't feel like I need a bunch of super secret insider knowledge to find routes.

This is why police should be paid flat salaries. They should be prohibited by law from making overtime. Want to send 100+ off-duty cops to a tiny little vigil where there's no threat to public safety? Then they can have fun doing it for free.

THREAD. Did you know that Minneapolis police deployed 101 personnel to a 7-person vigil held one morning at Renee Good's memorial? The cops generated $1.92 million in overtime cash for themselves.
