Money is a tool to enforce the hierarchy we live in. If you don't need money to eat, have clothes, and have a home, there's nothing forcing you to do the bidding of people who think they can use your body to help them hoard resources.

I first learned about it on Instagram, and the person who was reporting on the story went in depth about a white professor (at the SAME SCHOOL) who was actually caught plagiarizing work. And that white professor is still there. Still has their job. And isn't bullied by the media to death.

Eight months ago, This American Life sent reporters from Chicago to cover the protests and counter-protests outside the ICE facility in Portland. They chose Karlyn Borsynko to be their local guide to the world of Antifa. What they failed to mention is that KB self-identifies as a fascist.

This is an absolute travesty. Northwestern has, probably, the 2nd best library collection for African History/Studies in the USA (behind Yale and ahead of MSU, UCLA, etc). A self-inflicted wound that is absolutely, 100% unnecessary given the massive wealth of Northwestern--north of $15 billion.

The alternative to this is people lying with impunity, with the media knowingly covering it up. It's an awful story. And the media will get a lot of the blame. But those who perpetuated the lies and shielded Arday from facing up to them deserve more of it.

I’m noticing an uptick of local news stories that cite “Flock camera” footage for helping police solve A Very Dangerous Crime.

It’s so odd to be 6 years post-getting sick with Covid, to see all the denial discourse and to have just gotten back blood tests that confirm a chronic blood vessel inflammation, an extremely over active IgA level, extremely low IgG subclass 1, a low glucose (70mg) but high insulin resistance.
