Retired teacher and union president here. Any guess on how a board would vote if given the choice to raise teacher salaries or local taxes without a union to bargain for those teachers? Teachers imo are 3rd most important person in a child’s life after parent, pediatrician. Pay them accordingly!
As an American political historian, I can confirm that this Congress has been "almost unmatched in history" in several categories -- sad abdication of its war powers, craven surrender of the power of the purse, weird refusal to conduct meaningful oversight, and an utter failure to pass actual laws.
