But for now, these places where folks gather to roll dice and enter dungeons are a salve for helping folks come together more and more in an age where both technologies, companies, societal structures and even how we design communities make getting together harder than ever.

TTRPG tables offer a solution to the need for community spaces, just like how local pickleball leagues and crocheting clubs do. It's a net good, albeit a bandaid one. Honestly, there are a lot of things that I wish I could fix institutionally to make community a lot easier in 2026.

Disgraceful actions by @harvard.edu - destroying their writing program at a time when it's needed more than ever as "A.i." undermines everything. Deepest shame on this institution and all the best to @janerosenzweig.bsky.social. www.thecrimson.com/article/2026...

I am unbelievably touched that @dropout.tv titled my @dimension20.dropout.tv Adventuring Academy episode “A Duty of Care”

I’m overwhelmed today, but I want to circle back in a while to share the links to everyone & everything I cited. More soon.

Caelyn has such a wonderful voice and eye for detail when discussing her passions. She made reading about wargames and miniatures a joy that was only seconded by editing her work and sharing co-host duties on podcasts. Any editor should be champing at the bit to work with Caelyn! Snatch her up!

I'm sad to say that I'm no longer working with the team at Rascal. It's been a great couple of years, but circumstances have dictated that it's time for me to move on. That does mean that I'm now (quite desperately) looking for freelance work, so if you need words for/about games, my DMs are open.

Working (“working”) on a small personal TTRPG thing, the first thing I’ve worked on in literal months. My life hack? No word doc. Open up a Note on my iPad, start working there. Feels less intimidating, less need for me to work cleanly, less pressuring. Whatever works, right? Taking it slow 😮‍💨
