I had to highlight this tribute to Mamoru Oshii's live action film "Stray Dogs - Keberos Panzer Cops" in the new animated movie "Patlabor EZY - File 1". They literally recreated almost all of the shots from the original 1991 trailer.

So there are of course CG add ons/replacements/tweaks in the final film, but a *lot* of this is still there as-is in a way that's really nice for one of these big blockbusters. Stunt team did an incredible job.

I don't really have an objection to the CEO saying Bluesky is open to all; it's kind of his job to do that. But as others have pointed out, the design of the site means it's harder for trolls/bots/chuds *and also* influencers/hypebeasts to get traction. The "bubble" here is actually normal humans.

the people making AI are the people extremely well versed in DARK PATTERNS in software, people at places like meta that design their software to drive engagement via addiction. sycophancy would be a stupid thing to focus on; while it is a main driver of AI ~psychosis~, it's not what's addictive.

This is not a drill! An English patch for the original Super Famicom version of Kamaitachi no Yoru has just been released! This was created by ButThouMust, who previously published one of two English patches for Otogirisou several years ago. Patch in the link below: github.com/ButThouMust/...

I'm trembling while writing this: Kamaitachi no yoru—not the PC remake, not the iOS port, but the actual original SFC version—has been translated at last by ButThouMust, who graciously brought us an English patch for Otogirisou in the past. This is HISTORICAL.

Without naming names, this is absolutely happening with J>E locs, even and especially from devs/pubs that used to have a rock solid reputation. A lot of companies are bleeding talent, both in-house and freelance, as they either leave for what few green pastures remain or quit the field entirely.

Already noticed some AAA games from the last few years slipping in quality due to the attack on labourers by the wealthy class and uh... I think gamers need to know it's gonna keep deteriorating in small ways, not a big bang Games will still drop for a while, but they'll be quietly worse
