I'm really fucking devastated right now so instead here's the picture Patrick Stewart posted nearly 13 years ago to the day with the caption "happy halloween" of him dressed as a giant lobster in a bathtub.
Patrick Stewart regularly highlighting his close friendship with Ian McKellen in ways that said "fuck you" to homophobes is honestly something we need more cis het men to do.
Take your first look at Visiting America by R.E. Burke, out 5/11/27! In this work of graphic memoir/journalism, British cartoonist Burke tells the story of how an innocent technicality led to unjust detainment in an I.C.E. facility for 19 days. https://ow.ly/hPoN5101bQN
Visiting America: 19 Days in an I.C.E. Facility
While on holiday in the Pacific Northwest, a 28-year-old British cartoonist was shackled and detained in a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) facility for 19 days. As family mounted a campaign to free her, Burke began to document the lives of ordinary, innocent women — including her own — and their attempts to survive the violation of their legal and human rights. In this work of graphic memoir/journalism, British cartoonist Burke tells the story of how, in February 2025, as she was attempting to cross the border into Canada from Washington State, an innocent technicality led...

To paraphrase what my *mother's* school teacher once said 7ish decades ago, they hate it because they can't figure out how to put a meter on the Sun.
'It's offensively cheap': How solar power is quietly becoming bigger than nuclear. “After defying projections, solar's dramatic growth means it is now overtaking nuclear as a global power source. Here are seven reasons for solar's success, and where it might go from here.” #Solar

Sometimes earworms attack without warning. Of course this is how I find out that my newest mixed-media sketchbook is actually terrible with rich inks. Long drying times, smearing, AND shredding. Well crap, going to have to put up with this for the next 50-some pages. #comic
Flying to Portland for the first time. Finally somewhere I belong
Join Brodie Cass Talbott at this special Nature Night on Tues., Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. to learn what makes this familiar bird so unique, from its exceptional intelligence to its incredible winter congregations downtown, & discover how we can be good neighbors to the ultimate urban animal. bit.ly/CawCaw
‘Big City Greens’ storyboard artist Gabi Rodea encourages parents to have their children see ‘Wildwood’ for its mature storytelling.
Wildwood asks the important question, "What if Narnia, but Portland"
He forgot to add - have no concept of the passage of time - get anxiety from too many text message notifications - nearly impossible to establish routines - forgets… everything
God creating ADHD
Just saw it at the Hollywood Theater in Portland today and WOW. WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!
Go see Wildwood. Seriously, don’t wait—go see Wildwood. What a piece of art. The love for the manual craft, for story that doesn’t hold back, for filmmaking that is not here to answer to stockholders, it weaves all through it. Incredible stuff.
I've written another pedantic article about why we should question whether we're enjoying what we're playing or if FOMO is dragging us down. This time it's more cohesive and less ranting. I think.
Why are you running?
