I would like to go on record stating that I think all art should be 100x hornier. maybe 200x
ideas for new third spaces: -that club/arcade/whatever it was supposed to be in Hackers -LARP parks -library but for chairs -takeshi's castle-style obstacle courses where youre allowed to drink -lizard cafe
I'm reading Trigun for the first time ever. The art is so crisp and intricate, I love it. I'm halfway through the compendium from the library and already know I need a copy for studying 🖊️
For writers worried that they won't be able to "prove" their work isn't Spicy Autocomplete--worry not. You thought about every choice and will be able to talk about those choices easily and clearly. Folks who used the slop machine didn't make choices and won't have anything to say about why
I 100% have not changed a single goddamn thing about how I write here in the age of "AI." I write how I write. If the "AI" writes anything like how I write, it's because it stole from me. I'm gonna use any punctuation I like, and if it looks "AI"ish to you, you can go fuck yourself.
Authors and journalists are doing more first-person (hello 2010s blogging) and embracing "mistakes" in writing to prove they're not chatbots. There's even an “anti-Grammarly" app that leaves in typos and signs off "sent from my iPhone" to create more authenticity: www.wired.com/story/more-t...
This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.

the thing about public libraries is that they are—or at least many of them are—the one unrestricted public space in which children are treated with something approaching full civic equality with all other people. And they sense that. Our children’s room is the liveliest space in our library. 📚
"This might be unpopular but I'd like to discriminate against an entire class of people" If this is you, I hope the next 500 books you try to read are a disappointment.
It's gonna be real interesting watching how everyone's favorite actual play blorbos they've become parasocially invested in procede to assiduously ignore this and continue giving WotC tons of free exposure and publicity as D&D brand ambassadors
It's so easy not to play the eugenics game published by the AI booster that partners with the biggest anti-trans freak on the planet.
I understand that it sucks to have to read a book you didn't choose as a kid but when people are like 40 and still going, "well assigned reading turned me off from reading" it's like, ok but you're 40. No one has assigned you a book in like 20 years.
some illustrations by Yuko Oyama for Heaven’s Door magazine that i’ve been obsessed with lately
For your convenience, the Pride and Prejudice live-posting super-thread 📚
So I’ve started Pride and Prejudice, and already I feel bad for Mrs Bennet.
Public Domain Art is the lifeblood of small tabletop rpgs, but it can be a nightmare trying to find the right art and license. This week, I’ve re-uploaded my old list from 2020 (with updates) of public domain websites. That's 500,000+ public domain paintings, photos, maps, and film. Link below 🔗👇

Not to be like, everybody's mom, but remember when you were first getting on the internet and you were told not to give away private information to anybody you don't know? Corporation is people you don't know

New personal painting. Inspired by the scene in Fantasia that I feel like I’ve built my entire art style and personality around.
