Streets for people, not cars! A much better use of space.
I hit 2000km on my cargo trike while riding to the pool this morning. It seems appropriate, since most journeys with the trike have been short (5km or less) ones like this. An electric cargo bike/trike is such a fun and efficient way to get around the city!
I can’t speak for every bike lane in downtown Vancouver, but the selection I rode — and saw — were all protected with actual concrete, landscaped or otherwise. Not just flexposts (I did see some at corners). This is how to do it (cough*DC*cough).

The bike parking at my office was FULL by the time I rolled in today! I had to use the overflow rack.
My old neighborhood in Milwaukee runs an awesome 24-hour bike ride, the Riverwest 24, each July. This year's ride will start with a memorial lap honoring Alex Pretti, the intensive care nurse who federal immigration cops murdered in Minneapolis this January. Alex used come down to ride in the RW24.

I unlocked a new bike route home today! 🙌 The coolest part about Apple and Google Maps being total garbage for bike routes is that when I organically discover a new route I feel incredibly proud of myself. Something maps apps could never make me feel.
