Please remember that for every VE Schwab and Stephen King, there are a lot of banned Black, queer, and POC writers you've never heard of, to whom it is maybe not a badge of honor but a denial of their voice. Being banned is not a marketing opportunity, unless one is already rich.

Fun fact: When I went to speak at Broadview while I was still under federal indictment, 3 VERY obvious Feds kept following me, trying to copy these people. They had riot shields that said “WE PROTECT US” and asked me conspiratorially if I “knew about the plan” which was totally real. Bro. (1/4)
