Thus, then, in our hearts’ honeymoon, lay I and Queequeg—a cosy, loving pair.

its that fucking simple if you don't live off trust funds or loans thanks to your stock portfolio you're fucking working class
Interviewed: And it made me wonder: How do you define the working class? Mamdani: I think if you have to work to pay your bills, I think that that is one definition of being a part of the working class.
I can’t relate to that woman whose husband gave away the work raffle YSL gift basket to a female coworker. Matter of fact, my man won a Jelly Cat of his choice at work a few weeks ago and made a beeline for me to pick my preferred item.
I cannot stop smiling to myself about the woman who got the call from abusive ex asking her to cover for him being the ICE shooter and she went right to the press. I’d like to send her a bouquet.
I’m at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and I wondered if @theferocity.bsky.social might like to see this hat adorned with wild turkey feathers
Got mad. Made a thing. Zines are not a crime. Drawings made by hand with a Pentel pocket brush pen, and edited digitally. ✍️ 🚫🤖
Lex has been doing incredible coverage, and is one of the few journalists correctly treating this case like the five-alarm fascism fire that it is. The Sotos were targeted for producing zines and everyone should read Lex's story on the case.
And nobody cares except us. I’m on like six unemployed black woman listservs, where everyone’s freaking out, and nobody’s like “I’m running on trying to get y’all jobs.” It’s like we’re being erased from American society.
This was by design of course. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2026/...

The Seeds of Prairieland
The first time I met Savanna, Liz, and Ines, they gave me seeds for my garden. I don’t actually have a garden, but I love plants, and so I took the seeds in the hope that I’d get to plant them before ...

In January, Paigelynne Gonyea posted about the immigration surge in Minneapolis. This week, she was visited by ICE officials who claimed one of her posts had doxxed a federal agent.
She posted about ICE. Five months later, DHS agents told her to take her post down

2 times when Rupert Giles predicted the 21st century. RIP Anthony Head. ❤️
Off campus is to Heated Rivalry as lemon water is to strong coffee ☕️
I took a workshop to make a lampshade and now I can’t stop. The first with the chanterelle fabric will remain with me and the bee one went to a friend for their birthday.
I try to find a next-morning Olivia Miles highlight montage from any Lynx game I'm not able to watch live. I'm almost always giggling and shaking my head within 30 seconds.
Are there any good songs about celebrating someone’s death? Lmk
I think the current state of things is that you can delusionally attack the Pope OR post a meme of yourself as Jesus, but not one right after the other

It is quite telling that since the horrific story of Cesar Chavez re: sexual abuse broke earlier this week and calls to change the names of schools and other public spaces named in his honor, not one conservative voice has stepped forward to object that this would be tantamount to erasing history.
The second best Irish phrase I’ve heard, used to describe someone who’s always engaging in one-upmanship, is “if you’ve been to Tenerife, he’s been to Elevenerife.” My number one favourite Irish phrase, and one of the most crushing burns you’ll ever hear, is “he looks like his mammy knitted him.”
thinking about the medieval cat door in Exeter cathedral again
I’m going to see The Bride in open defiance of all the negative reviews because turns out my values probably don’t align overmuch with top critics. Hmph!
