Reading this and can't help but think about how communities of all kinds come together in the immediate wake of disasters, politics aside. And how I've been racially slurred the hardest by a good ol' southern boy who nicely helped me pull my car out of a ditch after a storm. The future is unwritten.

I have moved so many times, it's hard to justify buying nicer furniture, and learning how to repair clothes is something a lot of people either lack the skills, time, or patience to do properly.

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
(I get that Bluesky is very obviously the Wow We Loved Lockdowns website but I think it's absolutely fine, five years after the fact, to wonder if we got the balance right between "protecting older people" and "making sure younger people weren't getting entirely shafted", arguments are allowed)

The Ceuta 'crisis' is just political fuckery from Morocco in retaliation for Sánchez' visit to Algeria in July. It's all related to the conflict in Western Sahara. It has nothing to do with Spain's enforcement of the EU's external border. Amazing how thin EU solidarity is on this issue.

On the minus side my office music system wouldn't play the regular channel/playlist this morning but on the plus side the substitute channel played Electric Feel twice before noon
