Given how AI is ridiculously addictive and also extremely dangerous to use if you have any kind of mental health problem and often even if you don't, can't imagine how this wouldn't immediately make the world a better place.
I have one answer.

Saw a post saying "I don't want NSFW accounts to talk about voting, just let me jack off" Buddy, NSFW artists and sex workers are being constantly attacked by a government of nonces trying to distract from their own crimes by pinning the blame on porn. They have the right to speak up about this.
Mixed blessing today at the Senate. Their version of the Kids Online Safety Act made it out of committee today, but their version of the SCREEN act didn't due to not meeting quorum. Be sure to use every day of the upcoming 5 week Senate recess to tell your senators to vote no on the former!
Glad to see this. Her opponent is a fucking monster; I wonder if there's value in pointing out how strikingly Republican-like a lot of these "centrists" are.
In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname
It’s amazing how the people who yell at everyone about voting for their candidates (which, sure, anyone with a D by their name is better than the Republican, etc.) get just staggeringly petty when they’re asked to do the same for progressives.
Add Donavan McKinney to the Progressive Sweep in Michigan. Congratulations to all three PDA-endorsed candidates - on to the general!
Abdul El-Sayed won the democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Michigan beating $60 million in Super PAC and lobbyist money. William Lawrence won the U.S. House nomination in District 7 and Donavan McKinney won the U.S. House nomination in District 13. Its a progressive trifecta. Thank you voters!
Thank you, Michigan. I love you from the bottom of my heart!
Breaking: Democratic primary voters narrowly voted to oust Representative Shri Thanedar of Michigan on Tuesday, nominating democratic socialist Donavan McKinney for a deep-blue, Detroit-area district in the latest sign of the party’s hunger for new blood. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/05/u...
Shri Thanedar Is Ousted by a Democratic Socialist in a Michigan House Primary
Representative Shri Thanedar is among a wave of Democratic incumbents in Congress whom primary voters have sent packing in a surge of anti-incumbent fervor this cycle.

Congratulations to Donavan McKinney on winning his congressional primary, unseating a millionaire AIPAC stooge! Donavan is a former union member fighting to get money out of politics, a green new deal, and union jobs. @donavanmckinney.bsky.social @detroitdsa.bsky.social
My answer is LOL ROFL (dickbrain) The terminally AI-pilled can't even *imagine* some people have *never* asked stochastic parrots to cheat at their job for them.
SCREEN failed to pass out of committee, despite a 15-13 vote (in favor). Not enough members voting, but looks like a party line vote. Good work everyone! Keep up the pressure for after recess and beyond!
If SCREEN were to pass, you'd be required to scan your face and upload an ID to access this site because it allows "harmful" material. This affects you even if you don't care about sex work or porn.
Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.
I miss streaming T_T I still want to wait to start again until after the move (and we found an apartment already!!) but like. Fuck, I miss streaming.
Update for MI-13 (D): 39.3% of the vote in and DSA State Representative Donovan McKinney retakes the lead over incumbent Shri Thanedar, 54-46. He's currently up by 3,732 votes.

Sending a prayer out to Tasting History Max Miller for having to share his name with Max Miller right now.
I do find this funny because it proves Bernie has more integrity than the people who hate him. Anyway if y'all could go ask moderate Dem leaders if they expect their voters to vote blue when progressives are on the ballot since those guys are showing their whole asses on that one rn.

Continues to confuse me that people insist that all independents lean right so to appeal to them you have to move right, when like, I at least know several people who don't consider themselves aligned with any party but are far left.

Another interesting race tonight is MO-8 (D) where construction worker Chris Reichard is beating former State Senator Frank Barnitz 55-45. Reichard is running on a progressive platform that includes abolishing ICE. This district is also in very red SE Missouri.

So is Mitch McConnell officially dead yet or are they waiting till 12:01 AM EST to announce that
It is way too early to get overly excited about this, but I do want to note that in MI-13 State Representative & DSA member Donovan McKinney is beating incumbent Shri Thanedar 63-37 with 2.4% of the vote in. Lot of counting to go, but the DSA might pick up another safe seat.

Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion
