Working to crowdfund democracy all across the country.

DNC raised $10.25M in Sept in small-dollar donations, more than last 3 midterms. These ""often reflect voter excitement and volunteering for the party and candidates. It means that the grassroots dollars are not just dollars. They’re energy"...about 1 in 5 donors are giving for the first time.""

Democrats see voter enthusiasm in fundraising haul from small-dollar donors before the midterms

The Democratic National Committee says it's raised more than $10 million from grassroots donors in September.

Right-leaning social accounts are going to be all about "we are winning and Dems are now losing" 24/7/365. Elon will amplify, so will Russia and all MAGA allies. It's how they closed out both 2022 and 2024 and it's happening again now.

GOP-aligned and not-independent pollsters now dropping polls in key Senate races supposedly showing races shifting their way. It's done to create a media narrative that GOP Senate candidates are surging. The goal is to suppress Dem turnout and fundraising in the final stretch.

So this is how it is going to work. They will now start more aggressively working a few states - AK, IA, OH, TX - and get the polling averages to tip towards them starting w/Real Clear Politics. They will then claim their ads have shifted the race, and they've kept the Senate. Expect more like 👇

GOP pushing out fake polls doesn't only hurt Dem turnout on election day. It sinks Dem fundraising leading up to it, among other things. They did it in 2022, and they're trying again now, focusing on Senate races, as @simonwdc.bsky.social explains. It's fake. Keep giving and keep working.

For more background on how the Rs gamed the polls - successfully - in 2022 read this comprehensive investigative report from the @nytimes.com 5/ www.nytimes.com/2022/12/31/u...

More health burden in a state lowers the share of bottom-tercile (socioeconomic) voters, but not middle- or top-tercile turnout. It suppresses turnout for the group "whose participation would matter most for redistributive policy." Sheds more light on GOP slashing care. @jenvictor.bsky.social

Election forecasts ask what share of the electorate will vote in November. They rarely ask who is still in the pool by Election Day. A new guest post at @misofact.bsky.social misofact.substack.com/p/the-2026-m...

The complaints about Ken Martin and the DNC are actually about "who controls how Democrats spend money." Martin is putting money into state parties for year-round organizing and infrastructure building, the platform he ran and won on. @timwegenermn.bsky.social explains.

I Sit on the DNC Finance Committee. Rufus Gifford Has the Job Description Wrong.

The greatest political malpractice of my lifetime happened in 2024. Those that were part of it have not earned the presumption that they know what the party needs.

This would be a good time to donate whatever we can to Texas Democratic candidates, especially seats that we can flip to blue. Not only that but Talarico is investing $250,000 to the Texas House Dems... how cool. Don't know if it's an even split or not, but he's taking downballot races seriously.

"Anyone who runs now in a competitive House race can raise millions of dollars, enough money to be competitive. And that simply just was not true 6 years ago, 8 years ago." @simonwdc.bsky.social Dems no longer need a network of wealthy donors to run. Millions of grassroots donations power them.

Crowdfund the Dem candidates in those formerly uncontested races with one click. Money goes directly to visibility and talking to voters. Yard signs, door hangers, website, gas money. No party or recruitment org pays for these campaign basics-but we can, together. everystateblue.org/first-in-lin...

"Every single seat [in Texas] has a Democrat working their local community. That's really important because these wins that are really tight aren't going to be delivered from the top down, they're going to be delivered from the bottom up." Great work @kendallscudder.bsky.social

The media keeps focusing on spreadsheets. Consultants keep focusing on spending that used to make them rich. I’m focused on wins. 💪 90% Democratic overperformance in elections 🧹 30-0 in statehouse flips 💵 ~50% more cash on hand than 2018 Read my op-ed in @thehill.com: thehill.com/opinion/camp...

The media is evaluating party strength through the same lens used to evaluate campaigns: money raised, money spent, and quarterly comparisons. But parties are not campaigns.
