After today’s picture description, l have written a poem for this capture.

Our picture is a striking close-up of a large clematis flower fills almost the entire frame. Its six broad petals are a rich blend of deep burgundy, plum and vivid magenta, their velvety surfaces glistening with fresh raindrops that catch the light like tiny jewels.

At the heart of the bloom sits a small, bright yellow cluster of stamens, providing a vivid contrast against the dark petals.

Behind the flower, soft-focus purple blossoms and lush green leaves create a natural backdrop, while part of a mossy tree trunk emerges along the right side.

The dark, blurred background allows the rain kissed flower to stand out dramatically, celebrating both its delicate beauty and the refreshing touch of a recent shower. Finally, our picture is finished with a simple white border frame. And now for my poem…

I call it…After the Rain

The rain has left its silver trace,
A thousand mirrors on one face.
Each crimson petal, calm and bright,
Now gathers fragments of the light.

A golden heart, so small yet bold,
Warms velvet shades of wine and gold.
Though storms may pass and skies may weep,
The bloom still keeps its silent sweep.

It whispers softly to the day.
Beauty is not washed away,
For every drop the heavens send,
Helps wounded petals bloom again.
