Is it just me, or have Google Map directions gotten noticably worse in the past month or two? I'm guessing they've given new Gemini models more control in routing paths. For example, today Google Maps says I can just walk across the Hudson River to Jersey City.
This type of thing is a much larger contributor to the childcare affordability crisis and birthrates than many admit. The state essentially mandates a higher spending on childcare than previous generations experienced, while crime is at historic lows.

Her offense: allowing her 5-year-old son to walk about a half-mile by himself in their gated community. The government also placed Karyann Parkinson on its child abuse and neglect registry, where she will remain for seven years.

It's interesting to see how many columnists get to develop careers where they just say things in major media outlets, and how many journalists I know have to be prepared to defend everything they write with reporting, interviews with experts, stats, research, government data, and other sources.
On top of specific problems with each group, the order seems to violate the Constitution by conditioning birthright citizenship on the status of ONE parent alone. E.g., under the second category, the child of two green card holders would be denied if one parent works for the UN as a janitor.
Stephen Miller said just the other day that all asylum claims are "fake." A couple deported from the U.S. to Guatemala were gagged, bound, and shot dead. Their 14-month old found crying next to their mother's body. People like Miller don't care though because this is the point: ethnic cleansing.
