Already dropped off my WA ballot last month, so nothing for me to do today voting-wise. Volunteering for a couple hours at the local food pantry this evening, so by the time I get out at 7pm Pacific Time, I'm expecting for some interesting news, and hoping for a bunch of GOOD news.

I have a bit of time now. So my home was a no-screens home when there was really just one screen you could have. We had a TV—it was in my parents' bedroom, connected to the VCR. If I was sick I could watch re-runs there; we watched the Olympics in Olympics years. Sometimes a movie from the library

When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.

i think the real thing that makes someone a leftist is when you start to actually give a shit about movements and issues that don't affect you. anyone can stand up for things that affect them. but it takes actual principles to stand up for groups you're not a part of. most people dont do this.

I’m absolutely obsessed with this account. This guy lives in Borneo in the rainforest and posts all the moths he sees in his parking garage and they are FUCKING INCREDIBLE. Not just huge and beautiful but also the variety! Sometimes we get a cool giant beetle too!

As we approach the midterms, remember that the Alt National Park Service is a merch sales operation claiming without evidence to be a group of federal employees, and is not a genuine source of news about elections of any kind. Please get your election info from a local, reputable source.

eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

John Cale's live album Sabotage is one of the greatest concert recordings ever, and it's not available anywhere for streaming. One of the major reasons I like YouTube Music so much is that I can upload album into my library.
