An actually underrated potential positive for Dems in light of Abdul’s victory is that it gives traditionally centrist or otherwise poor Dems on Palestine on an easy out for polarizing against AIPAC and pro-Israel politics— they’re trying to cost Dems the Senate.

A big majority of Americans want the U.S. government to stop sending American $$ to Israel's reckless regime and to end the war in Iran. Yet AIPAC is threatening to spend to deliver the Republicans a critical Senate seat in Michigan, helping a Trump stooge like Mike Rogers who will keep funding Netanyahu's wars and do nothing to stop Trump's Iran War. This is exactly why so many Democrats like me have rejected AIPAC.

People don't seem to want to admit that "I would be ashamed to have written any part of this" is shockingly harsh language for the average film review. She's within her rights to say it, and she knew exactly the response she would get for it, but it's definitely an eyebrow-raiser

The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

What's tricky about the dual loyalty thing is that it *is* antisemitic to assume that every Jewish person, politician and institutional organization is loyal to the state of Israel. But also, a number of them...are! And pretending that they aren't makes the complaint look fundamentally disingenuous!

I've wanted to draw @axellycan.bsky.social 's character Tybalt for ages, always thought a macro meet-cute between him and Senedjem would be fun! Tybalt carries a pomander-like hotel around between destinations like some kinda giant sexy talking ferry, and Sen is keen to scope out the facilities.

you shouldn't be mad about destroying books. you should be mad about who is allowed to have access to the scans, and why the public isn't able to benefit from this at nominal fee to be paid directly to the author, rather than the knowledge being rented from a middleman.
