Mayor Gumdrop

I’m gay on the internet.

Quit @ing me if you’re going to be some little smug gremlin with his replies turned off. It was a shitpost in regard to executives actually facing consequences in China, which no longer happens in America. That’s it! No need to get weepy about it.

I think if “China is bad, actually” is your reflexive response to the idea of executing corrupt American oligarchs, that betrays a terminal case of Centrist brainworms and thus makes you unfit for the moment. Again, just my take!

What if I told you that Elon Musk getting the Jack Ma treatment would do more for America than any concern trolling about the Chinese?

The Rooster obtained an early look at the Lincoln Project's new ad blasting Ohio Republican Congressman Max Miller over his history of domestic violence. Miller faces Democratic union ironworker Brian Poindexter in November for a once-"Safe Republican" seat that's now listed as a toss-up.

In an unbelievable moment, Jake Lang and vehicles full of bodyguards assaulting the media and counter protesters were just escorted down the sidewalk in front of Minneapolis city hall in their vehicles by MPD.

I think it is remarkable to the extent the opposition party is still largely silent about the extrajudicial gulag archipelago that the sitting administration is using to turn innocent immigrants into political prisoners and slaves in third nations

This is the reported $100,000 fee on Optional Practical Training (OPT), which allows foreign students to remain for a couple years in post-graduate employment. The fee would devastate the program, making the US even less desirable as a destination for the world's best and brightest.

White House is planning to announce “a large new tax on international students who stay to work in the US after graduation”.

I don’t begrudge anyone their fear and loathing of AI. And I don’t condescend by asserting that it‘s merely a symbol. Americans fear AI because they know our lawmakers can no longer be trusted to rein in the worst aspects of new technologies. Look at Flock, or at secret deals for new data centers.

Parias has been locked up for months and he's still contributed to vital reporting work from the inside - see any of the stories on worms in the Adelanto ICE facility's water. Every journalist with a modicum of solidarity for their colleagues should be calling for his release.

Journalist Carlitos Ricardo Parias has spent more than 300 days behind bars, the longest known time a journalist has been in U.S. custody. In October 2025, he was shot in the arm and arrested by federal agents who boxed in his car for an immigration stop in LA.
