Squishiness on trans rights is a dealbreaker for me because (a) it’s a straightforward issue of personal freedom and bodily autonomy much like abortion, and (b) the right is obviously coming after us cis gays next.

This is grift final jeopardy, the singularity is theoretically the end of history and/ or the human world, this is a suitcase full of cash and a one way plane ticket type discourse

Lots of parts of the local party have been begging for volunteers for years (especially outside major urban areas!) for years. You can really just show up and do the work.

I get why it feels like this, but also, you and 3-5 neighbors could join your local (city/county) Democratic Party tomorrow and chances are they'd ASK you to run your precinct

To some small credit of the Democrats they do talk about consolidation and the need for reform and even occasionally talk about the media landscape around journalism. But it's very clear that they are lacking any sort of coherent plan to connect these two issues together.

Briere continues to set the standard that, if you sign in Philadelphia, you will get a fair contract. Will you maximize your earnings with the Flyers? Not likely--but you also won't go through grueling negotiations where management tries to shave off every penny they can. It's a good deal for all.
