Wolf Blitzer: Why is Israel, another country, your red line right now, this is what your critics are saying, rather than a domestic issue that impacts Americans' everyday lives? John Fetterman, visibly confused throughout the entire interview: Yeah, absolutely.

Ok I've been having trouble with Firefox and wanted to know if anyone else has. I'll try to go to a website and it just ... won't. Like I won't even get an error screen, the tab just won't do anything. This get fixed if I restart Firefox, but it keeps happening more and more frequently.

I gotta wonder. It feels like rather consistently I see commissioned art of Lucina Fire Emblem in a Hooters outfit. Is it like ... a meme or is there someone out there who found his perfect character and outfit combo so he's just getting all the art he wants made?

Noise. Pollution. The Ozone Layer. Acid Rain. AIDS treatment. Cancer cures. Crime rates. Child abductions. As much as we consume doom and gloom in our media, humans are very, very good at solving problems when we want to. We just have to want to.

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

Okay we all have criticism for the hegemonic goliath that is American culture but one thing that I love is the continued practice of treating the Muppets, including the denizens of Sesame Street, as if they are real, living entities. I dunno I think it's a charming bit of collective whimsy.

Cookie Monster is in the booth with Boog at Wrigley, will be singing Take Me Out (to the ballgame, not the Franz Ferdinand song, unfortunately) in the 7th

Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.
