Once again, I come back to the fact these guys have created a situation where one of the UK's leading, cis female athletes is scared to go to the loo alone, and the fact that they are celebrating this as a step forward for women's rights.

Tyron has said this better than I could, but if you look across almost every area of the economy and society, life is better today than it was 40 years ago. To take just one example, healthcare, you have: GLP-1s, minimally-invasive robotic surgical procedures, mRNA vaccines, new cancer drugs, PrEP.
Tyron@tyron.bsky.social · 13h agoan unfathomable amount of stuff has got better over the last 40 years - hell, even over the *last 15* - and anyone convinced it hasn't does not remember or know what things were like 15 or 40 years ago.
The EHRC guidance does not apply to workplaces, and trans people are not criminalised for using any toilet in the UK. But the whole point of this - as with Section 28 back in the 1980s - is to intimidate people. Don't give into that fear.
Slurms MacKenzie@slurmsmackenzie.bsky.social · 12h agoJust a reminder that: - this isn't for workplaces and if your work is trying to implement it scare them over discrimination claims - the onus is on the service provider, not the service user to comply - the code *itself* says enforcement of toilet facilities is unworkable and low priority
My favourite thing about this type of criticism is that “be kind” insta mums and bluesky leftists are two distinct groups that hate each other.
