I hate the whole framing of the "putting trans kids on hormones" debate CIS KIDS ARE ON HORMONES TOO. They just came free with their puberty. It's the same hormones, as well. And if the kid is intersex in a way that means their body doesn't make sex hormones, guess what we do? PUT THEM ON HORMONES
