Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.
Judge Wise finds that ICE coerced a 20-year-old Tongan man — admitted legally to the country three years ago — to sign a document accepting deportation, despite no criminal record or immigration proceedings against him. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
Imagine being a parent and talking like this about your toddler on national television to cover YOUR disgusting ass
TAPPER: One of the files you released was an image of your daughter naked. It was available for a day before it was removed. Your ex-wife's attorney says it could quality as CSAM. That's shockingly reckless behavior MAX MILLER: I wouldn't say it's shockingly reckless. There was no genitalia exposed
Trump's guy is losing to someone who isn't even running anymore because his name is Amir Hassan and though he's an evangelical Christian, MAGAts assume he's Muslim. Who could've seen that coming?
Seems like an upset might be brewing in the GOP primary in #MI08 to take on Dem Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet. Trump endorsed Amir Hassan, but he currently trails an absolute nobody who suspended his campaign a month ago by a wide margin.
She should do an ad of her housing curds & beer & talking shit on Republicans. No need to mince words
What is u doing
Quite an upset in the #KSGov Dem primary. State Sen. Cindy Holscher, who came out against data centers and the Kansas City Chiefs stadium deal, has defeated state Sen. Ethan Corson, who had a big financial edge and an endorsement from term-limited Gov. Laura Kelly.
Here we have a pup enjoying the fruits of his labor after a hard day's work. 13/10 good for him

These guys are freaking out over their own imaginations again.
Upon further consideration, most of my regrets are around minimizing my own or other's suffering to keep the peace.
I don't have a lot of regrets, but I wish down to my bones I had made a scene at my father's funeral. He did not deserve a dignified ceremony. Neither did his ennablers.
University of Michigan voters have a 100% El-Sayed precinct right now.
Miller is like a walking K-Tel record titled "Golden Classics of Domestic Violence." Track 1: "She's Crazy!" Track 2: "Those Lying Bitches" Track 3: "Parental Alienation Blues" Track 4: "Where's My Due Process?" Track 5: "Actually, She Abused Me" Track 6: "It Takes Two to Tango"
MAX MILLER: She's 2.5 years old. She doesn't have the ability to articulate what you just said. TAPPER: But you just told me that she said she was scared to go to mommy's house. Now you're saying she's not capable of saying "Daddy kill you"? MILLER: What about due process?
you know that money that was yours, which i illegally took from you and was ordered to return? well, when you think about it, it was really yours the whole time, but now it isn’t
If your family asked your autistic 17yo to go to an amusement park 2hrs away for a week without asking you first, would you be mad? Bc I am

“the American people had it, it was in the Treasury”: if it was being spent at a wispy-haired potentate’s whim rather than through congressional appropriations, then the American people did not in fact “have it.“ That’s just not how this works.
Bessent: "Here at the Treasury, I had $168 billion of tariff revenues that we're gonna have to refund. So when the Democrats scream, "Oh, the refunds should go back to the American people!', well, the American people had it, it was in the Treasury and it was paying down the debt."
Tapper: "There are now three women who have accused you of violent behavior…Are all three of these women who don't know each other lying?" Rep. Max Miller: "Yes…It's all hearsay." Tapper: "It's not hearsay if it is firsthand testimony from women."
More than 50 people have died in ICE custody
A 41-year-old man has died in ICE custody. He had not been convicted of any crime.
A lot of people who died of COVID despite ivermectin would like to have a word but they’re a little too dead.
Ron Johnson: "Aaron Rodgers was smart enough to take ivermectin when he got covid ... unfortunately, more people didn't follow him. We wouldn't have had as many of athletes falling unconscious, sometimes dead on the field of play. You've seen the video reels of this happening in 2021."
Oh my god the dietician who is telling everyone in the White House to only eat steak and sauerkraut doesn't wipe his ass.
Faced with one last chance for the slightest bit of redemption after confirming rapist Hegseth and lying to his victim, Tillis obstinately chooses eternal damnation.
Tillis: "Everybody has this view that they are as pure as the driven snow and it's the other side that has a problem. I think we both have a problem, folks. If you want to talk about weaponization, take a look at Biden, take a look at Obama, take a look at Crossfire Hurricane ... "
Depicting Jewish people with horns is a centuries-old, dehumanizing, antisemitic trope. Democratic Gov nominee Phil Weiser is outspoken about his mother’s birth in a Nazi concentration camp, his family members killed in the Holocaust, and the threat posed by antisemitism today.

300 million years ago, dragonflies the size of hawks patrolled the swamps and millipedes grew longer than your leg. The air was richer in oxygen then, and insects breathe through passive tubes that only reach so far into the body. More oxygen, bigger bug. 🧪 #HowToBuildAGiant
So in order to revive it, AG Todd Blanche would need the cooperation of *checks notes* the department run by *checks notes again* AG Todd Blanche.
Cornyn: "As to the idea it could be revived in the future, I think it's highly unlikely that could happen without the cooperation of the DOJ. And I think Mr Blanche gave us the assurances that it was dead and would not be revived and in this case we have no alternative but to take his word" 🙃
A big social factor too. Republican officials are terrified of being labeled a traitor, becoming a hate object of right-wing media, and shunned by friends and family. Adam Kinzinger's family members publicly denounced him for saying the Constitution is good and a violent attack on America is bad.
My take on why at least some Rs on the way out the door don’t push back more on POTUS is that they want to remain Rs in good standing in order to take advantage of various post-Congress opportunities.
