"I tell you what I always advise my depressed patients do ..." "Please tell me it's not to go see Pagalici?" "God, no. I always think clowns give off big sex offender vibes, dont you? ... I was going to say mindfulness"
It says a lot about me that I read 'The Pitt' and my first thought was parks and rec 🎶 The pit I fell in the pit You fell in the pit We all fell in the piiieeeeyyettt🎶
I love The Pitt. It is extraordinary. And I totally agree with the last sentences in this article. We are so lucky, in the UK, to have the NHS where healthcare is free. The Pitt has some harrowing stories that revolve around health insurance (or lack of it). www.theguardian.com/society/2026...
Presenting a potted history of Ofsted in Session 3 at @researchedbrum.bsky.social . Join me in the Library to look at missed inspections, missing schools, poor financial records, and misleading statements to Parliament, as we seek to answer the question 'Does Ofsted make sense?' #rEDBrum
Quite glad that the big story in British politics is whether Andy Burnham will apply to stand in a by-election and not people being gunned down by state militias. Solidarity with Minnesotans resisting this barbarity.
Walthamstow please help me spread the word about these latest developments in this incident by watching and sharing this video- an arrest has now been made but we need to repair the damage done. #racismintheuk #racismcaughtoncamera #loveWalthamstow
My favourite aspect of the new Ofsted toolkit for inspection is the way that for every judgement the level descriptor for 'exceptional' has word 'exceptional' in the first bullet point, 'transformational' in the second, and assorted synonyms for the next two or three points.
If Trump and Musk had a falling out, and if Musk is no longer involved in politics, why is the Trump admin using levers of US foreign policy to get Musk’s company out of well deserved fines? This is the moment, Europe. Stand up for yourself, your laws, your freedom against foreign interference.
Trump administration officials banded together to denounce the European Union after the bloc fined Elon Musk’s X, with some suggesting a US response is warranted, Cristiano Lima-Strong reports: www.techpolicy.press/trump-admini...

ICE is going to target this community next. I hope Tim Walz does the right thing here and not only refuses to cooperate, and outright pushes back. I voted for him as governor of MN (back when) because I believed him to be a man of integrity. Let's hope I'm right.
here's Trump's full racist rant about MN's Somali community: "Somalians ripped off that state for billions. And they contribute nothing... Ilhan Omar is garbage. She's garbage. Her friends are garbage. These aren't people that work... They come from hell & do nothing but bitch. We don't want them"

Trump's MRI raises new questions about Biden's health.
This is the most alarming story I’ve read today. Giving up the fight before it’s started
The tide is turning. Even the Telegraph is now admitting the damage the Brexit deal has done to the economy.
Reform has lost 1 in 20 (5%) of the 677 councillors it gained in May elections In Kent alone, it has lost 14% of its councillors... -11 have been expelled -6 suspended -9 have left the party -1 has defected to UKIP -9 have resigned from the council altogether www.politicshome.com/news/article...
Reform Is Losing Councillors Elected In May At An 'Unusual' Rate
Reform UK has lost more than 5 per cent of the councillors it had elected six months ago, an analysis by PoliticsHome has found.

My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look on my works and let me know if you have any questions! 🤗
Tomorrow Nigel Farage is proposing a bill to take the UK out of the ECHR. Not content with messing up our future with Brexit, he’s at it again. Don’t let him get away with it. Ask your MP to join us in @labour4europe.bsky.social saying not this time Nigel.
If racism has no place in his party, then Nigel Farage should prove it by withdrawing the whip from Sarah Pochin immediately.
Given the party's refusal to act on Pochin's brazen racism, it should be as socially unacceptable to vote for Reform as it was in the early 2000s to vote for the BNP. And we should be prepared to say this to people's faces.
I know it's only a proxy, but kids caring about the work they do in their books (+ how 'much' work they have) does matter. On Proud Fridays™️, KS4 kids come up to me to show me their exercise books and say 'Im proud of this because I struggled with this last year, but now I have alot of green ticks'
Don’t give these people benefit of the doubt. This racist rant isn’t an accident. Or ‘speaking out of turn’. It’s designed to fill our airwaves with people debating ‘if’ non white skin is a problem. Not Reform. Diversity isn’t the issue, hatred is. Don’t indulge it, vote for it or tolerate it.
Sarah Pochin blamed "the woke liberati that goes on inside the arty-farty world". www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/reform...
who creates the lively art and music scenes if the rent is too high? who makes cultural life? who serves you food or washes your dishes? who creates the fancy little restaurants that draw you to urban living? affordable housing is at the heart of what makes city life worthwhile.
Nigel Farage insists racism has no place in his party. But Sarah Pochin’s racist comments tell a different story. He must withdraw the whip or admit that Reform tolerates blatant racism.
"Promises were made, and lives and families built upon them. How have we reached a place where wrecking those lives is even up for discussion?" On Powell, Heath, Lam and the descent of the British right.
The British right is swimming in an open sewer
We are drifting into territory that once would have seemed extreme

Brava @msjasminemn.bsky.social! Great piece.
The points @msjasminemn.bsky.social makes in the body of the article are important. Rhetoric around immigration has now moved against not only illegal immigration, but legal immigration. schoolsweek.co.uk/ive-given-my...
