What if you could watch chromatin change in live neurons…..IN REAL TIME?Share if this is your dream! My lab is making biosensors to make chromatin visible as neurons wire into circuits & are hiring an Associate Scientist to build, not just execute. Apply: stjude.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/stjude/job/M...

Doing a linear stretch on these images shows how dramatic the "edits" were, revealing the deception in clear terms. This should be a complete scandal for Thermo Fisher and more people in the biosciences should be talking about it.
The Thermo Fisher situation keeps getting worse. We've now collected 450+ problematic images presented as verification data in TF's antibody catalog. This includes: 🖌️ Dozens more images with duplications or painting 🖨️ Hundreds of blots that all share the same background (behold slideshow below)

Fortunately, there's a resource to improve benchmarking of multiphoton systems. So things can get better. Here's the paper www.nature.com/articles/s41... And here's the free PMC version PDF (pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...) (3/3)
Standardized measurements for monitoring and comparing multiphoton microscope systems - Nature Protocols
A set of procedures is described here for standardizing the evaluation of multiphoton microscope performance, covering laser power, pulse width optimizations, field of view, resolution and photomultip...

Comparing multiphoton (2p/3p) imaging systems is often done poorly. labrigger.com/blog/2026/01... E.g., PSFs can be measured differently by different labs, staining quality is by far the biggest determinate on how multiphoton images will look at depth, and so forth. (1/3)
We spend way too much time manually analyzing #microtubules 🔬 Together with Mario, Justus, Dominik, Felix & Erik we used synthetic data and foundation models to build a fully automated segmentation pipeline. #microscopy, #imageanalysis & #AI Check out our preprint: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
Are you staining DNA in your ExM samples? We have awesome news for you! All our 6 SPY-DNA probes work beautifully well with the U-ExM protocol. You can now tune the color of the DNA channel to your needs, according to the fluorophores on your preferred antibodies. spirochrome.com/products/?_c...

We just released a new major version of TrackMate (v8), the cell and organelle tracking plugin of Fiji. It ships many new features, detailed below, but that are articulated around the following:
The FPbase spectra viewer just had it's biggest software refactor in 6 years. It *should* be largely invisible to the end user (hopefully just faster and less buggy). Please let me know if you find any issues as you use it! www.fpbase.org/spectra/
FPbase Fluorescence Spectra Viewer
An interactive fluorescence spectra viewer to evaluate the spectral properties of fluorescent proteins, organic dyes, filters, and detectors.
