As an FYI Luxon has also used “replacement” language and when I criticized it on Twitter I got The Post editors telling me off cause I was a columnist at the time. And then of course they cancelled my column. People who have the power to stand up against white supremacy never want to.

The constant load part is a big deal - they compete for power when the wind isn't blowing, they compete for power during peak usage. They are not a good fit for a renewable-centric grid.

The full comments are even worse. Dripping with holier than thou. And for the speaker to not push back on him says they're too scared to. Luxon speaking all the wanky business speak won't save him from losing his job. He has as much depth as a bowl of milk... at least the milk gives sustenance!

The obituaries and posts of Sam Neill are just lovely. They're all about gracious, kind and generous Sam and how he touched our lives. I haven't seen one post that blasts us with him on red carpets with flashing lights drawing attention to his fame. Be like Sam.

I won an award at Sundance years ago and Sam Neill, whom I did not know, tweeted to me “we’re all so proud of you, sweetheart”. I can’t even express what that meant to me. That our most beloved national treasure, a man I worshipped, would take the time to write to me!

Police are re-investigating 54 sexual assault and child abuse cases after concerns about one case triggered a review of almost 1,000 files. The senior officer who managed those files told me the scale of it was “news to me”. He remains under an employment investigation.
