Developers have until the end of 2026 to complete demolition on the definitely-haunted "Six Flag New Orleans" site abandoned after Katrina or it goes back on the market. If I were a competing developer, I would definitely be investing in projectors, rubber masks & a crew of rowdy "pirates".

Six Flags New Orleans, two weeks after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The drainage and failure of flood pumps left brackish water sitting 5-7 ft deep for over a month. It's still abandoned, and super creepy now. Plans were just approved to turn it into "Bayou Phoenix" a water park & sports complex.
