Because the loudest voices in the city want you to forget this, I just want to say Portland is great. There are so many people who love this city so much and show up every day to make it more welcoming and more just. It’s a beautiful place full of people who give a shit.
It *could* be a total coincidence that city council president Dunphy is sharing this story about his work with Oregon constituents who had sub-prime loans while Tom Dundon--who made much of his fortune on sub-prime loans--is trying to wrest dollars from the public coffers. Or *not*. You decide.

My mom grew a lot of the vegetables I ate growing up. As a young adult I thought I didn’t like vegetables. Later I realized what I didn’t like was store vegetables that didn’t get to ripen properly. Backyard tomatoes spoiled me for the store ones!

The FDA reversed its previous warning about Taylor Farms on 07/19/26. 4. Taylor Farms gave $1 million to Trump's PAC. I don't know when, but that's what got Taylor the meeting.

Each individual floret lasts only a day, replaced the next morning by new ones. The bumblebees seem to like to visit in evening before they fall.

However, there is an important distinction: Our Ordinance restores 48 positions while theirs saves 30, leaving more of the mayor’s proposed cuts in place. It also saves more key jobs in Parks, honoring the voter-approved Parks Levy, and protects more essential positions.
They are going to try what they try. But they are not smart people, nor are they coordinated, and a real plan would be five years in the making. Remember what you're dealing with.

Remember: the President of the United States does not control elections. States and localities do, and even if you say "he has the military," there aren't enough in the 48 states to make a dent.
