It's already over in his time zone but happy birthday to WOODZ too, what an amazing artist, I hope to see and hear so much from him in years to come. Seriously, treat yourself to a listen to Archive. 1 and to the MV for I'll Never Love Again and to Drowning. I think you'll be glad you did.

Google's move to AI means traditional SEO doesn't work anymore so every big company is now desperately doing Reddit AMAs to try and get their responses ingested by the Gemini slop machine and farted out in AI summaries

The ones who should consider it are the very ones who won't. But they will be the first to complain about non-existent fantasy characters being cast as other than white. Imagine never having a classmate, a teacher, a boss, a neighbor who looks like you. Books. TV shows. They couldn't handle it.

Do white people ever think, "I wonder what it would be like if every book I read or TV or film only had Black people in them?" Just constantly inundated with images of Black people, in our vastness. Probably not, but, I dare say, it would change how they view everything. Representation matters.

Wow they didn't even explain all the layers of humor going on with Wang Qinian and Wang Furen's daughter being named 王霸 Wang Bà, and repeatedly passing Fan Xian an egg to hold. It's a homophone for wangbadan, bastard or sonofabitch. Also 霸 means arrogant or tyrant so it's a hell of a name.

A cartoony drawing of Kyungsoo showing him standing on a tiny sand island in the sea, making a sand Kyungsoo. There are two feathers on his crudely made sand head, and a seashell on the body. A happy crab is standing on a bucket to the side. Kyungsoo is holding a seashell, wearing a blue bucket hat, an orange t-shirt, and white and blue striped shorts. There is a shovel and a rake in the sand.

There was, however, one exception to this: Minneapolis-St Paul. There, a finance bro, the mob, and a crooked lawyer really did buy the trains and sell them for scrap - but that was the exception, not the rule. 12/12

🔥👏👏👏 It makes so much sense to me that two of the people we've heard from on this are Tablo and Yongguk, two industry veteran leaders who have been *through* some shit and know exactly how things can be stacked up against you
