Its good actually when Democrats come together after a primary and acknowledge that Republicans are actually the real threat and should be kept out of office at all costs.
Ppl being shitty in the replies here are just miserable wreckers who are more interested in winning social media arguments than actually seeing Republicans lose control of congress.

What works in the Midwest is clearly a moderate CIA operative who will threaten your dog if you stalk her and also a nice Muslim doctor with big arms. Simple.

I do not think that Black voters in Detroit, Warren, Lansing, and Grand Rapids were bullied into voting for Abdul actually.

It's also not lost on me that the candidate with the most actual skin in the game regarding the Temple Israel attack IMMEDIATELY and unequivocally endorsed Abdul El Sayed. Mallory's children are Jewish and her family attends TI.
This narrative about "Black voters" is becoming the new version of "Democrats are out of touch with the white working class." Based on partial truths, it has rapidly turned into a ready-made story that is pasted onto situations where it barely captures what is actually taking place.
I guess it's good for socialists like me that centrists still think this

I used to grudgingly put up with it but I think it's important/fun now. you might not think it if you know me but I have social anxiety in many situations but - canvassing, whether it's electoral, labor, or tenant, is basically free exposure therapy

Abdul El-Sayed has never held elected office and just won the primary for a senate seat in the biggest battleground state in the country by beating a congresswoman who was endorsed by the current Senator, Governor, and Schumer & the DSCC while being outspent over 10 to 1. That win is plenty big.

my strong prior about michigan btw is that the vast majority of primary voters were actually happy to vote for either candidate in the general and will consolidate quite easily behind el-sayed just like they are coalescing behind talarico in texas online freakouts are not real life
