On FB this memory "popped up" of our little tango featuring my son as guest star with my friend's birthday balloons. The loon.

Downstairs flat, mum and teen shouting. Mum complains that teen doesn't take the dog out. Teen (recently passed her driving test) shouts that how can she when the dog doesn't like the car. ... I'm not altogether sure that's what mum meant. Could be wrong of course.

I work in disability study support. I hate the effect on students + colleagues that 'just asking questions' has after programmes like this. Families who don't want to believe in ADHD, students stuck waiting on diagnoses, doubters feeling emboldened to say "it's a bandwagon". This prog is DANGEROUS.

Only just found out about this For the record, you don't get multiple genetic markers and one of the most effective medications known to science with 'social constructs' Channel 4, this is, in scientific parlance, an absolute fu*king disgrace that will genuinely endanger lives #c4 #ADHD

New Channel 4 documentary, The Great ADHD Myth?, seeks to determine whether ADHD is a genuine neurodevelopmental disorder, or a social construct

Searching on maps for cafes along my route I saw "Cabin Cafe" which I misread as "Catbin Cafe" and not sure why I guffawed quite so much. Maybe I thought it was nearby where that woman put a cat in a bin and thought it a strange homage.

What can you get in Central London for £8? Cinema ticket? No. Coffee & sandwich? Just about. Tonight you could have heard 105 musicians of the BBC Philharmonic playing Betsy Jolas, Sibelius & Strauss at the BBC Proms. Some of world’s finest players are there every night until Sept 12. For £8. Go!

When life has been all manner of mayhem I can thoroughly recommend sitting in a glorified air conditioned shed, wrapped in a super fluffy blanket because the air conditioning is THAT good, looking at this view, and taking a moment to breathe.

Tree. Field. Sunset. Pinky orangey sky. The view from my bed for tonight. Two chairs look out the large sliding door/windows to nature and not a hint of the M4 at the edge of the field.

I just took my car to a new (highly recommended) garage to be fixed. Turns out the last place who repaired it were complete cowboys and their bodged work will have to be undone first, costing me more money. Whoever could have predicted such an outcome especially for a single female??

Ah Bonnie Tyler. My first recording session, we were completely ripped off. In the mid-eighties, we were teenagers busking in the street, my quartet were approached and asked if we'd ever done any sessions. "No" was the answer they wanted. (cont...)

Some of us can only dream of having the kind of wealth, power, privilege, influence, extensive media platform and brazen self-regard you need these days to become a man of the people standing up to the establishment.

The world is on fire, but sometimes you just gotta laugh. And sometimes you just gotta write a Gregorian chant inspired by a viral tweet, a project that definitely was the best possible use of our rehearsal time 🙃 Please enjoy The Riddle of Sir Mix-a-Lot 🍑
