We watched Evil Dead tonight (my wife had never seen it). It’s incredibly janky. But the weird blood hoses, the layers of make-up, the shaky camera, it’s all very charming. It unintentionally reminds the audience that people chose to make this. When people choose to make things, it matters.

If I ever got Mega Man Legends 3 but discovered it had Gen AI used in ANY part of the development process, I wouldn’t buy it. Doesn’t matter how good it is. Doesn’t matter how long I’ve waited for it. Zero tolerance. That’s what’s needed from this point on.

I played a bit of Max Payne for the GBA last night, and it's weirdly great. After some practice it actually plays really well, and they even managed to capture the specific combat style of the og Max Payne: each encounter feels like a quick dance of death that could go either way at any moment.
