Likes Dogs, dignity, screaming into the void and mythical things like democracy, social justice and peace on earth. Reality matters. Waiting for a bone marrow biopsy in Alberta.
Here's another nose-stretcher from the Canadian Press. Some dude claims Canada is as anti-semitic as Nazi Germany and national media give him an unquestioned platform. Isn't there someone in an editorial newsroom somewhere who asks the obvious question "Why would we repost such bullshit?"
It gets worse. This so called US rabbi, representing the facist racist US & Isreal, and who recently met with Canadian officials is calling Canada Nazi Germany. www.ctvnews.ca/politics/art...
Hundreds of Albertans shared their concerns last night about the AI data centres Danielle Smith and the UCP are approving without consultation and without environmental assessments.
On this day in 1940, Montreal Mayor Camillien Houde was arrested and charged with sedition for urging Quebec men to ignore conscription measures. He remained in an internment camp until 1944. When he returned to Montreal , 50,000 Montrealers greeted him.
Just like Texas Dani wants AB to be the epicenter of Data Centres. If Texas can put some pauses so can Alberta. Get informed. Learn what the UCP isn't telling you. #abpoli Register for FREE - amazing speakers, you won't be disappointed. datacentresturgeoncounty.eventbrite.ca

Great article on how Smith’s Government is upping their AI misinformation slop by @djclimenhaga.bsky.social. This slop will be hard to sell as the consequences of the USA’s AI boom dominate the information ecosystem. Texas just set a moratorium. 👏👇 #abpoli albertapolitics.ca/2026/08/albe...

So well written. No members of our household are on AISH/ADAP. But when Smith's UCPers announced the RICHEST prov in Canada was going to cut those with the least, $200 when the feds increased their cheque by $200 - that was a kick in the pants. This prov gov is cruel to humans - & generous to corps.
"I have cerebral palsy. I am not on AISH. I am not on ADAP. But I have sat across kitchen tables from people who are, watched what this summer has done to their faces, and I have never in all my years writing this column felt as let down by this province as I do right now." #Alberta #abpoli

In Texas, data centers are straining the power grid, while creating a paltry number of jobs. No communities will okay data centers once they know all the facts.
Hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing climate fires across Europe and North America. Meanwhile the planet burners are making record profits. And they are hitting up the Canadian taxpayers for $100 billion for another pipeline. www.theguardian.com/business/ng-...

“In a Tuesday social post on X, Smith said Alberta’s police service should be focused on addressing violent crimes, theft, illegal drugs and vandalism — not people’s free speech.” Yeah, and maybe your government should focus on delivering healthcare and education instead of pandering to loons.

The lies and disinformation about #ClimateChange are constant. Don’t be fooled, and help call them out.
They can say summers have always been hot and we’ve always had wildfires and they can tell themselves all day that everything is the same as it always was but you know better They can gaslight themselves but not you. #ExtremeHeat #Wildfires #Smoke #ClimateChange #abpoli #cdnpoli

This US resident has insurance and this is the bill he got for a single visit to the ER Canadians, we have so much to lose and nothing to gain from a two-tier system with private insurance like the Alberta gov is pushing
I realize the Europeans have largely gone to bed, but: I got bitten by a dog yesterday and had a bad reaction to it and ended up throwing up all night last night. My wife made me go to the emergency room; I've gotten IV fluids and an abdominal ultrasound. This is what I had to pay. I have insurance.
