i was gobsmacked moving to nyc to find one very common over-winter plant here is flowering kale (or ornamental kale, which grows in a tight flower formation). that used to be the default kale i'd buy, and i had to stop myself from harvesting lol. very fun to see other kinds of kale pop up!
