Zebra longwing (𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘢) ✨the only established native longwing in the so-called US (common in the southeast, and parts of the gulf coast). Loves subtropical and tropical climates, like most longwings. #natureillustration #sciart #butterfly

The rendered butterfly has black wings and body with very light yellow striped markings across the forewings and upper hind wings, as well as rows of pale spots along the middle and outer edge of the hind wings. And a health update while I'm at it: insurance finally approved Humira, which I started last month. It's still too early to know exactly how well this medication will work for me, but I have noticed that I feel a little less stiff and I don't need three naps a day anymore, so my hopes are very high.
