We love using mNeonGreen for live but have failed to find good reagents for things like expansion microscopy. This is a fantastic addition to the toolbox. Great work!

A High-Affinity Nanobody Recognizing mNeonGreen Enables Versatile Biochemical, Cellular, and in vivo Applications. by Steffen Frey and team: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
New paper! 🚀 A high-affinity anti- #mNeonGreen #nanobody turns #mNG into a #multifunctional Tag. @nanotag.bsky.social decided to openly share the #nanobody for research use. Not common, but we strongly believe well-defined reagents are key for reproducible science. We hope you find it useful! 💚

Resolution isn't just optics. Structural resolvability also depends on probe size, linkage error, labelling efficiency, steric hindrance and, molecular organisation. VLab4Mic models all of these starting from PDB or AlphaFold structures
It is finally out there in published form. 🎉 #MicroSplit (with an 𝕊) #Microscopy 🔬 #AI 🤖 www.nature.com/articles/s41... And no paywall... so... enjoy the read! 💸 👋 This is where the post could end... but I will have to go on for a bit below... 😉 🧵
New paper out! Left-handed DNA cannot bind to natural, right-handed DNA. This leads to lower background if it is used as a probe in DNA-PAINT. Using Fluorigenic DNA-PAINT with left-handed DNA allows for low background, fast 3D DNA-PAINT! Congrats, Bas! skeetorial: 1/x pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10....

✨ Blinking #nanobodies that work for single-molecule localization 🔬 Our new preprint shows that the self-blinking dye JF635b restores robust, buffer-free blinking in #nanobodies, enabling reliable #dSTORM, #MINFLUX, and more, without chemical-switching buffers. Opening new possibilities for #ExM!
We also tried it recently and indeed, it blinks nicely without any smelly buffers or extra stuff added. Makes SMLM sample preparation a breeze. I hope soon new additional colors will be discovered, apart from the far red.
