Excited to share our latest preprint from the Garcia-Mata lab! ttps://www.biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2026.07.17.739205v1 In this study, we investigated how the RhoG-GEF SGEF contributes to epithelial morphogenesis using 3D epithelial cysts and long-term live-cell imaging.

An LLM however has no index. It composes the answer token by token, and every token pushes your whole prompt through hundreds of billions of parameters. A few hundred words means a few hundred full passes. Put simply, librarian pointing at a shelf vs. writer drafting a fresh essay, every single time.
I love these PIP3 biosensors because it labels the plasma membrane so well. You can see the cell's edge so clearly along with any intracellular vesicles. Also, this cell is so blebby. This video was taken when I was still working on endocytosis :D Good old times! #FluorescenceFriday
✨For this #FluorescenceFriday we are highlighting 10 amazing images of development from the Young Embryologist Network 2026 Image Competition! Follow the hashtag #yenimagecompetition for full details. 📷🔬
Excited to see this collaboration now in print. Dye chemistry meets AI-designed proteins. Three small, orthogonal tags; lifetime modulation; split versions. Request the free dyes at dyes.janelia.org www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

New favorite way to color code microscopy data: this is a real 3D confocal image of an unidentified larvae stained for actin (muscles fibers here). Looks like a watercolor painting! #microscopy #ImageJ #FluorescenceFriday #microscopyMonday

Our first big push into hardware! Shipping software is relatively easy -- manufacturing delays and shipping physical hardware has a lot of logistics, but I'm really happy with our first move into supplying the world with cutting-edge visualization tools.
This #3DThursday, our first syGlass 6DOF stylus kits are heading to researchers around the world! Built with #Antilatency after a lot of development and testing, the high-precision tracking lets you move, slice, annotate, and analyze 3D data naturally on the #Sony SRD. 🖊️📺 #syGlass #Microscopy
