A favorite of mine is when an idea has to be shared by or accepted by another man before they can move on. Not necessarily vilification, but a non-starter until someone else verifies it. Also a favorite: when they’re surprised by the outcome after you’ve said exactly what will happen.

When I was 7, I was riding with my Dad and my sister. My front tyre caught on something and the bike fully flipped over. I was wearing a stackhat and there was a pretty sizeable dent in the front. That helmet saved me from an incredibly serious head injury and no cars were involved. Wear a helmet.

After fifteen years of studying the anti-vax movement, I came to the conclusion that upholding legal requirements for vaccines for school entry is the single most important thing we can do. You cannot use facts to convince someone who did not employ facts to make their decision. So use the law.
