It’s exhausting. YouTube has been rife with this crap for at least a decade now. I first stumbled across it with cringe compilation videos, which got more and more brazenly fascist with each year. (Now bitching about “degenerate” art) Ghastly mean spirited bullshit. I can’t stand it.
The worst trend among YouTube "criticism" today is isolating random, often comedic, bits from a game, movie, or show from it's original context to just say "EWWWWW CRINGE". At best you're providing no real insight or analysis. At worst you're actively misrepresenting what you're talking about.
