Revenge of the Oxford Comma

Serenity. Courage. Wisdom… and Tacos. Feral AF. Don’t set yourself on fire to keep someone else warm.

The Trump Admin has now approved a bank charter for World Liberty Financial, Trump's family-owned crypto scam. The company, the deal, the entire process is corrupt to the core. As I said in February to the Trump official in charge of this: it was only a matter of time.

the fact that john ossoff can kick off a two-day media cycle by saying that the president is uninterested in doing his job and is sleeping through meetings and traveling around with a young blonde, suggests that not enough of these guys are speaking plainly and effectively about these assholes

Hobbs: Trump wants Biggs in office to oversee the 2028 presidential election. And what that means for the country… if he’s governor, Arizona is the first swing state overseen by an election denier.

My attitude towards AI is this quote from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe: “…take my advice, when you meet anything that is going to be Human and isn’t yet, or used to be Human once and isn’t now, or ought to be Human and isn’t, you keep your eyes on it and feel for your hatchet.” —C.S. Lewis

When you visit a landfill you feel bad about all the dumb stuff you throw away. When you go to a datacenter, you feel bad about all the dumb stuff you do online.

It's important we use Woke 2 as a decoy and put a bunch of stuff in it. "We will and must ban HGTV." "Abolish Olympic dressage." "Mandatory colonoscopies at age 25." We run on Woke 5.

a poster's spirit cannot be contained even if you don't post anymore. my boyfriend deleted all of his social media during covid and now he tries to call into the brian lehrer show when he's driving to work. it's like being a dry drunk

This is so great. Paulina Borsook deserves her flowers. One of the best things about the past year has been (accidentally) helping to get her book re-published. Paulina is one of the only tech critics who got it right. Buy her book! Put her on your show! www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

A tech prophet finally gets her second coming

In 2000, Paulina Borsook published a book foretelling the anti-government sentiments of the tech world. Now that it’s too late, people are ready to listen.

In April, I was kicked off of X. Now, YouTube is threatening to delete the Nerd Reich podcast. Anyone have experience dealing with this kind of thing? It's clearly a coordinated campaign to kill our channel via false complaints, but it appears YouTube will nuke our channel in the next two days.

Hardly a day goes by without my getting email from someone looking for ways to do good with tech. From computer science students thinking about post-grad careers to seasoned coders with decades of experience, there's an army of hackers looking for a way to turn their expertise into public goods. 1/

The giant head of the Statue of Liberty. Around it are many medieval machines, tended by little medieval rude mechanicals. In the background is a crosshatched architectural drawing of some classical arches and such.
