lol my flight got diverted because of a medical emergency and they landed us in reykjavik in the middle of the night and deplaned us and sent us through passport control and then the crew vanished and then british airways sent us links to book an overnight hotel room but for a hotel at heathrow

Re the fire at the Grand Burstin in Folkestone... "the "very severe" fire had raised concerns about the structural integrity of the building," (BBC News) Clearly they hadn't seen the Burstin before the fire. Grand it is not. Deserves demolition.

Apparently this is the list of British films included in the booklet accompanying the British Citizenship test. Unfortunately, if familiarity with the films on this list is one of the criteria for being a British citizen I think we're going to have to deport everyone under the age of 50.
