ICYMI: The US is currently holding three times as many people in immigrant detention as were detained in the Nazi concentration camp system in spring 1939 — six years into the Third Reich, and just before the start of World War II.

if you are any kind of creative or artist or writer you *have* to understand sex workers and porn/erotica artists/authors as being members of the same class as us. to the extent society recognizes a difference between "legitimate" art and porn, it's only as a tenuous, convenient, temporary fiction.

Bad headline but the article largely shows that MPs don't hire enough staff, don't train them well enough, and don't take into account the effect of their staff when they, eg, support genocide

We need to put a list of names on Amnesty International's grave stone commemorating all the people that wanted paychecks more than human rights and dignity.

I wish I could get game developers to realize that making every item in a game have only a single purpose makes for a less enjoyable game. Instead of freeing you to make what you want, it limits you to making what they allow.

I reckon the smart way to respond to this is “you aren’t actually trans, fuck off.” Any and all precedents set are dangerous ones because we all know whatever we have can be ripped away with shocking speed. May as well just assert reality.

While everyone's "all the love to trans folks" posts are nice and it is good to see support We have been getting them for a decade now. If you want to support trans folks, hire us. Support GFMs and asks for mutual aid. Put yourself between trans folks in public if you see harassment.

My god, they aren't targeting trans people just to get at other people. They are targeting trans people to target trans people. And they are targeting other people. We don't just exist as a warning for the rest of you, fuck me.
