Hi all! Something I forgot to share from this last week that’s super exciting. Last Sunday, I was elected as the Co-Chair of the DFL Outreach and Inclusion Committee, serving alongside our State Outreach and Inclusion Officer @quentinocama.bsky.social
Quentin Ocama, MAT, M.Ed 🇺🇸🇺🇬

Educator, SPFE28 E-Board, Education Minnesota PAC, Minnesota DFL Outreach Officer, Concordia Saint Paul, and University of Minnesota School of Social Work alum.
thank you for trying to drive turnout in loring park!! we are the most populated downtown neighborhood and not activated enough politically
DFLers are hitting the doors! Outside groups are spending $17 million to buy this seat for my opponent. The best way to cut through the noise is to talk to your neighbors yourself. Pick up your own packet and join us on the doors this weekend!
Working families deserve to get by and get ahead. Expanded child tax credits and universal school meals drive costs down. Republicans voted No on both.
Hot take on this website apparently: I don’t think sexual harassment is funny.
We absolutely wouldn't be making these jokes if the mayor was a man, and I think we need to keep in mind how this kind of humor and joking can stop men who experience sexual harassment from coming forward.
I guarantee you that there are people you care about in your life who have been sexually harassed so maybe think twice before posting your crude joke about hot dogs or wieners.

I know the premise of weiner-gate feels funny because of how absurd it is, but let's remember that we're talking about allegations of sexual harassment.
Grateful to attend today’s rally for DFL-endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan and to hear from Senator Elizabeth Warren, along with so many other inspiring voices. Don’t forget that Primary Day is August 11!
I don’t know who these people are —or who this person is — and I don’t care (as in please don’t explain to me who it is, I don’t care) but absolutely unconscionable to compare my colleague Senator Fateh to Platner. You can dislike people and their politics, but this is beyond the pale.
If you're as pissed about the wildfire smoke as I am, channel it toward climate action: help elect climate champion @peggyflanagan.bsky.social to the US Senate and a DFL trifecta in Minnesota!

Once again, it was great to be in Rochert with so many amazing candidates and community members at the Becker County DFL’s Earth Fest celebration. Feeling fired up and ready to keep building for November!
No one candidate is bigger than the work of building a better Minnesota. It’s frustrating to watch a campaign prioritize its own interests over the success of the rest of the ticket and the party as a whole. Sometimes you can win the battle and still cost us the war.
Happy Pride, Minnesota! We are proud to be a trans refuge state and a beacon for the LGBTQ+ Community. Be you, be out, and be proud.
“no turning back now… for the people of minnesota,” says lt gov peggy flanagan in st. paul, as she files to get on the ballot for US senate this fall, days after winning the DFL endorsement at the state convention
It was an honor to serve as one of the Assistant Co-Chairs of the DFL State Convention this weekend in Rochester. After 2 long days of work, we leave with a strong slate of DFL endorsed candidates for statewide office and US Senate and completed a ton of important party business.
Angie Craig has announced that she is no longer seeking the DFL endorsement for US Senate. She will run in the primary. Charlie St. Dennis, credentialed reporter on the scene.

Shout-out to @quentinocama.bsky.social for a great De-escalation training yesterday. If you're a state delegate, I hope you were able to join one of the trainings.
Rep. Kim Hicks deserves all the flowers for getting this through! So proud to be the Senate champion for this bill
Thank you, @erinmayequade.bsky.social, for your advocacy on the Minnesotans with Disabilities Act!! I'm excited to see that it's passed the House!!! Very excited to see more protections for disabled Minnesotans getting close to becoming law!!!
I really need to do a better job posting on here — so many apps and so little time 😂😭
Spent the day outside my classroom to join my colleagues at SPFE to talk to legislators about pension parity, a statewide healthcare pool for educators and support staff, and advocating for no cuts to special education and mental health funding. Thanks to all the legislators who met with us today!
Minnesota Republicans recently spoke for 20 minutes on "improving school safety" and not once did they mention guns, school shootings, or gun violence. We haven't forgotten about the 200+ Minnesota children who have been killed by gun violence since 2021.
I’m happy to report that along with @aurinmpls.bsky.social and @angelaconley.bsky.social, I was part of the unanimous vote of the Planning Commission to remove the name of Cesar Chavez from the Minneapolis street carrying his name today.
The DFL has always included a coalition of ideologies aimed at supporting working class people and encouraging them to get involved in grassroots organizing and governance. I'm disappointed that in this political moment, some are seeking to divide rather than unify.
I posted this message elsewhere, but I think it’s important, as a party leader, to clearly call out what thehumphreyproject.com is: a divisive gimmick designed to split our party heading into our state convention. We have so many new people excited to enagnge in our party — we have to do better.
Today we re-endorsed the amazing Erin Murphy today at our Senate District 64 Convention who took the time to read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? after Lucy dragged it over to her. Incredibly cute moment with our amazing Senator!
Had the privilege of serving as Convention Chair for Senate District 63 today. Thank you to SD63 for letting me guide you throughout this process! We got a lot done in about 6ish hours! 📸 @taylordahlin.com
The fact that nobody seriously believes there is an institution in this country that will check the president—that we’re all just sitting here hoping that he gets distracted and fails to follow through on his genocidal threats—is the most damning indictment of our political system I’ve seen yet.
You work hard. You should be able to afford care for your kids. GOP leaders are telling you it's not a priority.
