Reading through the FT at the moment is a strange experience: revolution, war, disaster, brutal autocratic oppression, mad dictator shit....and then "markets continue to thrive"; "record profits".

This post is for the determined little blood clot trying to make its way to a vital organ inside the most vile and putrid creature who breathes: I know you tried for the heart and couldn't find one. Don't be discouraged. Your job is too important. Just move toward the pudding. That's the brain.

1/ A longtime Wired editor just wrote a mush-brained essay about how he totally missed the political rot of Silicon Valley (& still doesn't get it). But in the late 1990s, a Wired journalist warned of a toxic ideology bubbling up from tech. Paulina Borsook has largely been erased. Let's change that

Left my phone in a cafe en route to Cornwall and enjoyed a perfect 72 hours by the sea without it. Now it’s back in my hand, I think I need better strategies to mitigate its use.

Europe appears to just have given up on doing anything technical. Perhaps we should stop pretending & speed up getting to our eventual destiny of a full time holiday destination for American, Chinese & Russian tourists.
