In my mind, GM and their coconspirators have not paid a heavy enough price for what they did. Because the areas they hit are still paying a heavy price for losing the transit systems that they once had.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
it's always a good sign when the nazi/CSAM guy is behind you
Elon Musk planning to throw financial support behind Susan Collins’ U.S. Senate bid
Something I love doing is talking about fossil fuels as "19th century technology". Coal plants and gas plants are machines from CENTURIES ago. The combustion engine is silly. It gets people thinking about what modernity means but also, importantly, it makes fossil fuel guys mad online
Republicans believe vaccines cause autism, Trump won the 2020 election, Michelle Obama is a man, and ivermectin can cure Covid. Democrats need to accept at least some of these or give up the charade of bipartisanship.
obviously a big part of this is the money the other side is throwing at this but let's not let our side of the alise of the hook, there's been just total capitulation from center-left elites
Truth & Retribution. The Trump/MAGA movement & their fellow travelers murdered reconciliation long ago. So it has to be Truth & Retribution. Lots of examples must be publicly made.
Chaperoning a preschool trip to the aquarium and one of the other dads who is vaguely familiar with what I do comes up to me and goes “man I sure hope we get some Nuremberg-style trials at the end of all this”
Again: the greatest threats to national security, global order, civil society, human rights, & human well being are ultra-high net worth individuals. They are the ultimate insider threats!
A dark day for human rights.
This is why billionaires are bad: They can outspend groups like Amnesty International.
SpaceX was bound to litter the universe with all it's crap.
Yeah prisons bring people who don't vote, but still count as residents for the purposes of federal dollars. Prison security is an A+ jobs program for local thugs with no skills. And the land the prisons are built on has to be bought from someone 👉👈 It's a local politics win-win-win-win-win!
They may hate schools and hospitals but they seem terribly fond of prisons.
Yep 100%! That's because those are jobs the local gentry can't gatekeep. So if you ever wondered why local leaders in rural areas keep getting rid of schools & medical services & thought "That makes no sense!" Now you know why they do that. Public services bring people they can't control. 💀
It's also notable that rural areas with some sort of middle class employment center tend to be much less right wing. Places with colleges, federal projects, etc. Even the conservative small towns with the hospital or county seat are usually a bit less stiflingly right wing.
Mamdani has pretty clearly shown how much more Democrats could be doing with executive offices though, and "be able to pass meaningful policy" is kind of a bar minimum bar for being a meaningful party. And my whole point is that being less bad isn't enough - you need to be worth organizing for.
"Elite" Democrats (but not billionaires) "Faith voters" (but not most religious group Black Americans) "Working class" luxury pickup truck owners (but not POC) "Heartland" real Americans "Crime" right before elections (lower in blue states) "High taxes" (lower for most in California than Texas)
Black "looting" food White "finding" food NYT editor Jonathan Weisman: John Lewis isn't really Southern Midwest POC aren't really from the Midwest @cingraham.bsky.social pointed out he referred to Obama as “much more white than black” at WaPo in 2008 "Centrist" media editors with narrative power:
Part of why we no longer have Dems representing us in congress is down to redistricting as a result of the way the christofash captured and consolidated power in Indiana. And part of it is because the Dems abandoned a 50-state strategy in favor of a "blue wall" which has had predictable outcomes.
they take this more seriously than police shootings
LAPD officer who recorded colleagues' racist comments to be charged with felony eavesdropping
JK Rowling funding her trans exterminationist campaigns by selling children's books to liberals 🤝 the NYT funding their trans exterminationist campaigns by selling puzzle games and recipes to liberals (and also for both, cis people will get really upset at trans people asking them not to)
In other words, NYT is increasingly becoming a gaming and recipe company, with revenue from that business helping subsidize the higher costs of their journalism (which has been weaponized in favor of trans genocide). They depend on liberals not caring enough to boycott them.
TikTok has incredible moderation team. Our InfoWars video about Multiple Horse Theory — the idea that there are many horses in the world and not just one — has been fully deemed misinformation and lost the formal appeals process. Confirmed by Larry Ellison: There is only one horse on Earth.
WELL NOW, would you look at that? A massive, 24-YEAR-LONG study of MORE THAN 1.2 MILLION people in Denmark found NO LINK between aluminum in childhood vaccines and autism, asthma, OR chronic disorders. Aluminum is an ADJUVANT. It ENHANCES your immune response to a vaccine. That’s it.
Weird he can’t bring this kind of energy towards his colleague who is accused of beating up his daughter.
Moreno to Fauci: "Who the fuck did you think you were?"
Um... does he not know what genies actually do or is he intentionally being obtuse? The whole mythos of the genie is that it's a moral story about being careful what you wish for as there are ALWAYS dire consequences for overreaching ambitions. Maybe he should have asked his AI about it first.
AI can make this happen. We just have to boil one *small* ocean.
This tells us quite a bit about how deep the AI brainrot runs through Silicon Valley, and next to nothing about AI “advancing past our control.”

“Holding US dollars makes a lot more sense” than only accumulating Bitcoin says the CEO LMFAO
Getting the feeling that Stevens & the Dem insiders who back her would rather be “right” about El-Sayed’s inability to win the general then be wrong and retake the Senate.
Let me tell you, having chronicled Pentagon-style war game on attacking Iran nearly 25 yr ago, every single "surprise," "darkening turn," "narrowing option," spreading warfare," "rising casualties," "no easy exit," etc that comes drip-by-drip is EXACTLY why GHWB WJC GWB OBAMA BiDEN did NOT do this
It's always messy when post-truthers discover there is a real world after all. And the revelations are just going to keep on coming until Congress grows a spine.
