Ok, I thought I was done, but holy crap, I need to give some MAD props, as this game has just made the single most coherent argument I have ever seen for the use of media properties as RPGs, and it does so in the context of *safety*.

Over a three-decade State Department career, I knew a number of the speechwriters who worked for various SecStates in both GOP and Democratic administrations. None of those speechwriters was a Nazi or Nazi sympathizer. If they had been discovered to be one, they would have been fired.

NEW: Nate Hochman was fired from the DeSantis campaign in 2023 after promoting a video with the Sonnenrad, a Nazi symbol embraced by white supremacists. He now works in Rubio's State Department, as deputy director of policy planning and chief speechwriter. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/09/06/u...

i think right now he is genuinely fixated on adding new american territory as the brass ring, the thing they'll never be able to take away from his memory i also think he can't make it happen so as 2029 approaches we are going to more and more see a family annihilator presidency

i really cannot maintain enough that my current theory of donald trump is that he is utterly gripped by the terror of death, and is desperately attempting to leave some mark on the world that history cannot erase--this is the point of the wars, the annexation threats, the dc vandalism

i think it's super cool that posting this is what the most powerful man alive spends his Sunday afternoon doing

Since it's the anniversary of the debut of "Batman the Animated Series," feeling compelled to share this art by Bruce Timm of all the things they weren't allowed to show in the cartoon. Can you guess them all? Answers in the next skeet down.

It’s 1895, but not as you know it! The planet Earth experienced its first shattering contact with alien life in the year 1690 AD. Only the inspired genius of Sir…

I read today in an article in The Daily Beast that some military leaders have privately begun referring to Pete Hegseth with the nickname "No Tab Pete" and I nearly spit my drink out. I then realized that everyone should have the knowledge to appreciate this ruthless nickname. (thread)

It's spread via saliva that gets in your body--bites is the one people thinks of but any mucous contact will do (eyes, nose, mouth, broken skin...). Quick reminder that when you show symptoms it's way too late and it's a nasty death. If you were in contact with these, go vaccinate

“They took the goats throughout the state and visited at least 10 locations, including a Masonic picnic, assisted living centers & a back-to-school bash” Rabies is always fatal You don’t need to be bitten to contract it If you came in contact with baby goats in North Carolina, contact your doctor

If you love a webcomic, consider doing two things: 1. Personally recommend it to one other person 2. Comment on pages You have no idea what these small things do to help a comic grow! Peer-to-peer is how a fan base is built, and comments boost engagement, setting the comic up for more success! 💖

Might want to look into thew book "River of Teeth" by Sarah Gailey. It basically goes "What if it had happened, and some were wild and contained on the Mississippi River by large gates, and others were raised by hippo cowboys, and it's mostly like the Wild West?" Nebula and Hugo nominee.

OH SHIT DUDES THIS IS A VERY BIG DEEAL I have spoken before, you may recall, of my suspicion that Leo dropping the hammer on SSPX this summer was the first step to a bigger purge of which Opus Dei is the final boss. if Francis was ready to kick them out before he died, Leo would have known that

El País publishes two letters from Pope Francis in which he accused Opus Dei of engaging in political intrigues like an organized crime syndicate and suggested he was prepared now to ban the organization outright. The organization now exercises extraordinary influence in one country: the US.

FLASH GORDON (2023-current) FAQ: -It's in its own continuity, though primarily based on the initial Raymond years -I color and letter the strip as well as writing and drawing it -There are no printed collections, but we hold out hope -The new character I'm most Down Bad for is Velle, obviously

The ambassador/legal expert sharkwoman Velle converses with Flash Gordon at a bonfire.

Have we talked about Questionable Content recently? The last five years in particular have just been so darned good. It's humans and robots doing their best, nobody really knows what's going on, and there's a giant cryptic hive mind that spits out different embodied personalities so it can chat.
