None of this is even remotely concerned with the kid's future or wishes--it's always the parents basically going "this is not the child I ordered" and proceeding from there.

They don’t any perspective about what sports mean for their children’s future, so if little Riley happens to be mediocre at her sport, they must blame someone who’s unfairly taking her place instead of acknowledging that high school isn’t a proxy for the Olympics. Trans girls are convenient targets

This may be a good time to remind people that trans people in sports has always been normal until recently with SCOTUS. Both parties are fighting to take rights away. Any Democrat that pretends to be “neutral” on this is a liar. There is no neutral. You enabled fascists and took away rights.

It’s important to understand that when 1.2 million Americans are dying from a disease, any government action is excessive and tyrannical, but if a dozen trans women want to play soccer no government action can go far enough

I don't think people are ready for this kind of joke yet.

There are more people who've parlayed middling athletic prospects into profitable careers decrying the inclusion of trans women in sports than there are trans women in sports.

My son was born in April 2020. His mom, a hospital-based midwife, had us videotape our wills as we got closer to her due date. We didn’t know what the hospital would be like because the pandemic was so new then. But the fear was real because the deaths were real.
